Charity fund update

A couple of weeks ago me and Kev decided that it may be as well to hand over the 2010/2021 charity fund to the Hope Lea Project as we couldn’t see a resumption in the non-league game for the foreseeable future.

Today I visited the charity’s premises and handed over the £300.00 that we have collected so far this season, with the promise that if the non-league game does restart, we will still put £1 each into the charity pot for every game we go to and then hand over any balance at the end of May.
On a good season, we would expect to hand over £800+ , but the lack of games has seen this season’s fund severely reduced.  Personally, I would expect to get to 300+ games in a season, but have been restricted to just 134 so far. Hopefully, as the pandemic figures continue to improve, the season will resume in one form or another.

We both want to thank all those who have contributed to the fund and it is to be hoped that we’ll see you  again very soon.

Many thanks to :
